Laptops don’t belong in tubs

The depiction in a TV ad of a person using a lap top in a spa bath has been found to breach health and safety aspects included in the AANA Code.

Several clothing ads during the holiday period have received complaints about use of thin models, images of models in swimwear and close ups of bras.

Revised code in force

The revised AANA Code of Ethics is accompanied by a practice note and came into force on 1 January 2012. It now includes a new section relating to objectification.
